Happy Labor Day!!  Hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weekend we had.  We did have one day during the week of pouring rain and wind.  Saturday we had a low of 40 degrees, but the day turned out perfect.  

Friday evening we enjoyed a cook-out with Alex, Ginny, Ted and Faye.   Was a nice evening to have hot dogs over the fire and sit and share all kinds of memories growing up.

On Saturday we had a picnic in the park with Linda and Bill Pieffer, her daughter, Sherry and son, Amari.  Another perfect day.  Was nice to visit and Amari enjoyed the pond.  He found lots of snails and “pretty” stones.  While sitting at the pond, we watched a lot of motorcycles going back and forth.  Good day for a good ride.  Don’t know what the weather has in store.

St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale.  They are available the first and third Sunday of the month, from Noon – 1 p.m. at the Church Hall.  Call 570-928-8909 to order yours.

As I was out and about, I did see a few folks at their homes for the long weekend.   Mark, Tatania and Sophia Fenster; TJ, Allison, Jase Lowden, along with Wesson who also visited his parents, Ted and Mary; Adel Bradshaw.   All enjoyed the nice weather and getting together.

Next Civic meeting will be on Wednesday, September 16th; 6 p.m. at the Pavilion.  Dues are now due.  See Heather to renew yours or to become a member.  Only costs a buck. 

Gardens still seem to be producing quite well.  Lots of canning and freezing has been done.  Flower beds and hanging baskets are still so pretty looking.  Hopefully no frost for some time yet.

Happy Anniversary to Scott and Susan Aharonian as they celebrate on the 14th.  Have a great day.

Not many activities going on yet, due to the virus.  Sure wish it would fly away and we can do our “normal” things.  We are still following all the protocols when out and about and washing our hands often.  Sure hope it helps.
