Had some nice weather and some not so nice. Almost all week it showered off and on. Saturday and Sunday turned out really good days. Bowhunters Festival was on the weekend, so they did have a couple of nice days. Now, we’re to get rain from Florence on Monday into Tuesday , with 2-4 inches possible, along with flooding again. Don’t need it.
Sympathy from the community on the passing of Monty Gulich on Thursday, the 13th. You couldn’t ask for a more pleasant man. Always joking and had a nice word to say about anyone. He will be missed. Burial Service was held on Tuesday, September 18th, at St. Vladimir’s Church, Lopez, with the Rev. Dennis Hendershot, his pastor presiding. Interment was in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Lopez.
“What’s going on with the bridge work?” you ask. Well, it’s on hold right now and nothing is being done. Seems that something was made wrong and has to be re-done. This was about 3 weeks ago and still nothing. Hopefully, soon or they won’t be done by the date planned.
October coming up soon and things will still be going on in the County so keep an eye on the Sully to see what, where and when.
Happy Birthday to Bob Day, 23rd; Annaliese Froese and Jon-Paul Matychak, 25th; Ted Beaver and “Dinky” Burke, 27th; and Kurt Schroeder, 29th. Have a good day.
B’s gang send birthday wishes to Tommy Finan as his special day is the 25th. Have a good one.
Happy Anniversary Chris and Michele Craig as they celebrate on the 27th; and to Dustin and Sam Burke on the 28th. Congratulations and many more.
HINT: “If you spray WD-40 on the distributor cap, it will displace the moisture and allow the car to start.” “Keep a can of WD-40 in your kitchen cabinet. It is good for oven burns and any other type of burn. It takes the burned feeling away and heals with no scarring. Remember, the basic ingredient is fish oil.” (Never know this but I don’t think I’d try it anyway.)
Get well wishes to Ted Lowden who spent the weekend in the hospital having his gall bladder removed. He’s on the road to recovery and hope he continues to improve.
