Another week of good/bad weather. We had some frost, lots of wind. We did have a few nice days with lots of sun and warmth, and they did feel good. I guess the cooler weather is here to stay. The leaves are almost gone from the trees and the color is gone too. I’ve seen only two turkeys in the field across the road. Hope everyone had a good Columbus Day holiday.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale the first and third Sunday of the month from Noon to 1 p.m. They can be picked up at the Church Hall. Call 570-928-8909 to order yours.
As I mentioned in my earlier column, there will be no Halloween party at the Pavilion. With the rise in viruses, we just can’t take the chance. Hopefully next year will be much better. If any of you would like to have Halloweeners stop by for a treat, please have your porch light on from 6-7 p.m. Don’t even know if there will be any, but thought I’d put it out there.
TJ, Alison and Jase, along with Wesson, Marlton, NJ, spent a few days at their home here and visited his parents, Ted and Mary, on Maple Terrace.
Good luck hunters. I’ve seen a few hunters going back and forth to the woods, but didn’t see any deer with them when they come out of the woods.
Civic meeting will be on Wednesday, the 21st, 6 p.m. at the Township Building. Civic dues are now due. See Heather to pay yours or to become a member. Please wear a mask.

Don’t have much else to report and can’t even think of any fake news, like the other reporters. Practice social distancing, wear your mask and wash your hands often. If you don’t feel good, stay home. We will get through this pandemic.
Guess that’s the news for now. Enjoy your rainy day. We do need the rain. Have news call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
