What a week for up and down weather. Rain, frost, wind, you name it, we had it. Saturday and Sunday started out miserable, but turned much better toward evening and made it nice for any Halloween parties that were held. I don’t really like what’s coming, but guess we have no control over what Mother Nature throws our way.
Hope you all got out to vote. It’s your right and privilege to do so.
The Halloween party, held on Sunday at the Pavilion, was a blast. It poured a couple of times during the day, but late afternoon quit and the party was held with no rain. Thanks to Heather, Kaeliegh, and Kyleigh; Cathy; Clair; Jodi, Emerson and Everyln; and Bob and I who decorated the Pavilion for the event. It was a fun evening doing that. Thanks to the Brumwell family for the loan of the many things that were used, from blow up type to all kinds of “spooky things.” Thanks to Brian and Nina who did an awesome job on the “goodie” bags, cookies and juice and the prize money. Thanks to Tim, Lori and Diane who had the very difficult job of judging. They did a fantastic job. Special thanks to Brian for driving the hay wagon, with the hay loaned by Shawn Nitcznski, taking the many kids, and adults, around town so they would be safe. What a good time was had by all. Quite a good crowd this year. This is sponsored by the Civic Association every year. Many great comments on the hay ride and all had a super time. First timers who came couldn’t thank Brian enough for the hay ride. Hope next year turns out as nice.

Brian McGuire and Nina Weslowski hosted an awesome and spooky Halloween party on Saturday evening. Good crowd of friends and so many different and fabulous costumes of all kinds. Everyone had a super enjoyable time. Brian does love Halloween.
Next Civic meeting will be held on Wednesday, the 17th, 6 p.m. at the Township Building. Membership dues are now due. See Heather McDonald to renew or to join.
FLASH — Don’t forget its “Fall Behind” so turn your clocks BACK one hour on Saturday evening or early Sunday morning, the 6th or 7th. I’d rather it stay the same all year round, but who am I to say. It will be dark at 5 p.m. and will seem like bedtime already. Also, remember to change the batteries in your smoke alarms.
Happy Birthday to Tim Bullis, 5th; Devon DeSanto and Tai Iwancio, 6th; and Teri Bullis, 7th; Grayson Burke, 8th.. Have a nice day.
B’s Gang sends special birthday wishes to Brian McGuire who celebrates on the 11th. Have an awesome day!
I know there were a few hunters around, but haven’t had any luck so far getting that deer. I think bear season was also in there too. Good luck if you’re still hunting.
I think that’s all for this time. Enjoy your week. I heard there may even be some “white” stuff floating around. If you have news you’d like in the paper, let me know by 6 p.m. Sunday evening, by calling me at 570-928-9238; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will put it in for you. I’ll be here next time and thanks for reading.
