Weather wasn’t all that bad during the week. Higher temperatures until Friday and Saturday when it went from 38 degrees down to 16 degrees. On Sunday we had our second snow fall. Was surprised when I woke up and saw it snowing. Only a couple of inches, but enough to shovel and plow. Enough on the hill across the street for Mike and the girls to enjoy sledding. I heard this week is to be pretty nice and good weather for Thanksgiving travelers. Hope that is the case.
On Sunday, December 1st, we are going to Christmas decorate up at the monument. If you’re available, come on up, at 10 a.m. to give a hand. The more to help, the soon it will get done. Just hope the weather cooperates for that day.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies and halupki for sale. To order, call 570-928-8909 and leave a message on the phone. Pierogie pick up will be on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Irene (Huray) Pequignot, Linden, spent the weekend at her home on Church Street.
Time is going by pretty fast. Before we know it, it will be December. The decorations around town are looking pretty nice. Hope you all enjoy them when driving through.
I guess bear hunting is in now, with deer hunting on the horizon. Good luck hunters and bag that big one.
Happy Birthday wishes to Elexus Dunkleberger on December 6th; Tony Sneidar, Jr. and Robyne McCobin on the 8th. Hope you all have a nice day.
Keep an eye on the Sully for events coming your way, that you may be interested in. Seems there’s always something going on in Sullivan County.
I think that’s the news for this time. Enjoy your week. Hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends. Take a moment to pray and thank those who cannot be with us as they are fighting for our freedom. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
