Hope you all enjoyed a fantastic Mother’s Day weekend, whatever you did. The weather was a bit windy, but not too bad. As I sit here very early Monday morning typing my news, I looked out the window and what a FROST we have. The roof on the house next door looks like it’s covered with snow. Hopefully, it didn’t kill everything as the buds are really starting on the bushes and trees. I did hear for the week it’s to be nice and no rain for a few days. Let’s see if it’s right.
The humming birds are back at our house. Finally saw them last Tuesday. Put the feeder out and we have at least three so far that have been coming. Cute little buggers to watch as they “flit” around and play while drinking.
If there are any Lopez kids who would like to march in the Memorial Day parade, please meet at the Post Office at 9:45 a.m. Dustin and Sam Burke will be there to get you all lined up for the parade at 10 a.m. Always nice to see kids taking part.
We enjoyed a cook out on Sunday with our sons, Bob, Jr. and Brian, along with Nina Weslowski, at Jr’s home on Main Street. Always nice to spend time with family.
Civic meeting on THURSDAY, 6 p.m. at the Pavilion.
Joe and Diane Fanning, along with Molly, spent a few days at their home on Church Street. After all the rain we had, they had quite a lot of lawn work to get done. Was nice weather while they were here.
Happy Belated Birthday to Faith Williams, who celebrated on the 14th. Hope it was nice.
Happy Birthday to Janet Weidner, 22nd; Susan Aharonian, 24th; and Tanya (Stasiak) Nitczniski, 25th. Hope you all have a good day.
Happy Anniversary to Tim and Bobbi Jo Brown as they celebrate on the 21st. Have a great day.
There are lots of things that are starting to pop up around the County, so keep an eye on the Sully and Face Book to see what you may be interested in. Hope you got out to vote on Tuesday, the 16th. It’s your right to do this. Every vote counts.
Guess that’s it for this time. Enjoy your week. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
