Weekend wasn’t a total wash out. Did have some heavy rain late Saturday and early Sunday. Power was off from 5 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. due to equipment failure. I guess the gardens and flower beds got a really good drink. Last I heard, it’s to rain most of the week. Sure will be pretty soggy in spots.
Carole Kilgus was honored at an 80th birthday party on Saturday, held at Connell’s Dam. Many family, friends and neighbors gathered to wish her many more years of health and happiness. Lots of good food and visiting too. The little kids even enjoyed swimming. The rain did hold off until all were packed up and on their way home. Looking forward to the 70th next year, Carole.

I know of some folks who went to pick and the bear was there two different days. Think I’ll stay away from that area.

Bob Jr. and Tyler McGuire, Hunlock Creek, stopped by to visit Bob and JoAnn McGuire and Brian McGuire on Friday on their way to RIT in Rochester, NY. Tyler will be a Senior at Lake Lehman Jr./Sr. High School so is looking into colleges and what he might like to take. From Rochester, they went to Cambridge, MA, to check a couple colleges there. Time sure flies by. Seems like a short time ago, he was just a little kid playing in the creek and looking for cray fish.
