As I’m typing my news late Sunday evening, I’m listening to the wind howling outside. It’s been pretty fierce at times. For the week’s weather, check out Sam Burke’s weather report elsewhere in the paper. Last I heard, we are to get one to three inches of snow on Wednesday. Hope it’s wrong, but we’ve been very lucky so far. I think we’re still in for some nice days yet.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale the first and third Sunday of the month. Pick them up at the Church Hall from Noon to 1 p.m. Call 570-928-8909 to order yours.
Stop at the Dushore American Legion on Saturday, the 11th, 9 a.m. There is a craft sale, bake sale, soup and chili sale until they are all gone. Oh, don’t forget, gnomes too. Check it out.
Saturday, the 11th is also going to be a fun day in Dushore for kids as well as adults. There will be many things going on throughout the day, so stop over and see what you might like to do and see. It’s all Christmas.
Birthdays this week include Elexus Dunkleberger, 6th; Tony Sneidar, Jr. and Robyn McCobin, 8th; Aaron Risser, 9th; and Alexis Musani, 12th. Hope you all have a nice day.
Gerry and Paula Weslowski, Allentown, spent an enjoyable weekend with their daughter, Nina Weslowski and Brian McGuire.
Hope you all aren’t bothered with the flu or Covid. I heard there is a stomach virus also going around. Stay well.
Well, getting to be about time to “hit the hay”, being it’s 10:30 p.m. That’s the news for this time. Enjoy your week, whatever you might get involved in. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
