Sure is winter weather now, with the cold temperatures we had during the week.  A lot of teens, with that never ending wind.  Sunday morning was down to a glorious 4 degrees, with ice on the tree branches.  Looking out the window, the sun was making them look all sparkly.  Did we hit the 50’s for Monday and Tuesday?  I doubt it, but will let you know next week.  The sun does look good……from inside.

Irene Pequignot, Linden, visited with Linda Baton at Darway on Sunday.  She also stopped to visit us while she was here.

St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies and halupki for sale.  To order, call 570-928-8909 and leave a message on the machine.  Order pick-up will be on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Makes a good meal for the Holidays coming up.

The kids are really enjoying the snow covered hill across the street from us.  They have a pretty good trail for their toboggans and come down pretty fast.  They also made a couple snowmen and even a snow fort.   Oh, to be young again and do those things.  My bones would never take that ride down the hill.

I guess there is still time for hunting, so good luck to those who have not gotten their deer yet.

All the decorations in town are looking nice and festive.  I’ve heard some nice comments about the Monument with the manger and the trees that are lit so nice.  Also, the big star on the Pavilion looks good too.  Will be there for your enjoyment until Orthodox Christmas in January 2020.

You still have time to pay your 2020 Civic Association dues.  See Heather McDonald to do this.  Remember, NO Civic meetings now until March, weather permitting at that time.
