Kind of a cool weekend again. Sun felt good, but the wind was not so good. Had some frost during the week and Sunday morning was 23 degrees but did warm up. Will be a cool week, I guess, with rain showers and maybe a thunder storm. Sure wish it would warm up and stay warm. Had enough of cold, frost and windy weather. We do need the rain, especially those areas that are troubled with brush fires. Please don’t burn; it’s just too windy. Why someone wanted to start those fires and burn homes and so many acres is beyond me. Sure are some troubled people out there.
Happy Easter to those of the Orthodox faith. Their Easter is Sunday and hope it’s a Blessed time for all of you to enjoy.
Hope you all got out to vote.
The bear are still around. We moved our bird feeder just in time. He/she must have smelled a couple of seeds and tried to climb to get them, but the seeds were gone. I think we have ours high enough now that it won’t be bothered.
Don’t know how the trout fishermen are doing, but hopefully they will catch enough for a nice meal.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale. To order, please call 570-928-1099. They make a nice meal for Orthodox Easter.
HINT: “Here’s a recipe for weed be-gone: Mix 1 GAL vinegar, 2 cups Epsom salts and 1/4 cup original Dawn Dish Detergent. Put in a spray bottle and spray weeds in the morning, after the dew has evaporated. Go back after dinner and weeds are gone.” (With planting season coming, this will be a good one to try.)
Happy Birthday to Paige and Kyler Burke, May 1st; JoAnn Day, 2nd; Ryan Dempsey and Ted Lowden, both on the 7th. Hope you all have a very nice day.
Keep an eye on the Sully for events coming up that you may be interested in.
