What a perfect weekend! You can tell when it’s a nice day when you hear all the motorcycles and quads around. You also hear the garden tillers working. Was a great time to be out and about. With more of the nice weather, there will be more folks coming to open up their summer homes and spend time here in Lopez and Sullivan County.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale. To order, call 570-928-1099.
Hope all the trout fishermen had luck on Saturday, the first day of the season. Saw quite a few pictures on TV, but don’t know if any locals had luck or not.
Don’t have a lot of news for this week. I know there will be activities going on in the County, so keep a watch on the Sully to see what, where and when, if you’d like to attend these things.
Happy Birthday wishes to Tom Beck and Roseanne Lukachik, both on the 18th; Holly Ann Sperry, 20th; Jon-Paul Matychak, 23rd; Katherine Kapler, 25th; Mickey (Fedorchak) Mowery, 26th; David Spinosa, 28th; and Ken Kline and Abby Matychak, both on the 30th. Hope you all have an enjoyable day.
Alice Fedorchak and daughter, Mickey Mowery, Montoursville, visit Carole (Fedorchak) Underwood, Dushore, on Monday. They all enjoyed lunch at Pam’s and had a nice visit.
HINT: “Poison ivy spreads through the spread of the oil within the blisters. Washing the affected area with Dawn dish liquid, especially on children who keep scratching the blisters open, helps dry up the fluid and keep it from spreading.” (Will be the season soon for that, so give it a try.)
Joe and Diane Fanning, along with Molly, Landenberg, are spending some time at their home on Church Street. Doing some clean-up things from the winter season. The weather should be really good for them to get chores done.
Guess that’s about all the news for now. Enjoy your week; should be fabulous. Have news, give me a call at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
