WOW!! We couldn’t have asked for a better week. I could take this until April and then warm up. We did have frost a few days early in the morning, but then Mother Nature sure warmed things up. Was this Indian Summer? Whatever it was, everyone sure enjoyed it.
TJ, Alison and Jase Lowden, along with Wesson, picked the perfect week to spend at their home on Church Street. Did a lot of fun things and spent time with his parents, Ted and Mary on Maple Terrace. Jase got quite a few rides on the quad with his Gramma.
I forgot to mention in my news last week that Dominic and Christopher Sneidar also had a fun time at the Halloween party at TJ and Alison’s. Sorry about that.
Last Civic meeting will be on Wednesday, the 18th, 6 p.m. at the Township Building. Membership dues are now due. See Heather McDonald to renew or become a member of the Association. We do have koozies, masks, t-shirts and hoodies for sale. Now with the cold weather coming, a hoodie would feel good, especially for you hunters going out in the early morning hours. Contact me at the info below if anyone is interested in purchasing.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale the fist and third Sunday of the month from Noon to 1 p.m. They are available at the Church Hall. Please call 570-928-8909 to order yours.
Irene (Huray) Pequignot took advantage of the nice weather and spent the weekend at her home here.
I guess the hunters are out and about. Please be aware when out walking or going near the woods. Wear orange, if possible. Good luck hunters.
Wednesday, the 11th, is Veterans Day. Have you thanked a veteran for his service to keep us free? Do that and it will make him and you feel pretty good.
This virus is still a pain. Still wear a mask, practice social distancing and wash your hands often. Support the local businesses to help them keep afloat until this crazy stuff is over with. Sullivan County cases are going up but not like a lot of the other counties.
Happy Birthday to Aiden Sperry, 13th; Alek Laird and Mike McDonald, 19th; and Jaeden Patson, 20th. Have a nice day.
Happy Anniversary to TJ and Alison Lowden as they celebrate on the 17th. Enjoy your day.
There are still a few Lopez mugs for sale. Make nice Christmas presents. Contact Bob, info below, if interested to see what’s available.
I heard we may get some heavy rain on Wednesday, with warm temperatures. We do need the rain, so shouldn’t be too bad.
Guess that’s the news for now. Enjoy your week. I know some folks are starting their Christmas decorating while the weather is nice. Get out and enjoy. Have news call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
