WOW!! I guess we’re getting some Indian summer and I like it. The weekend was pretty nice after a few days of cool weather. Supposed to get back up to the high 60’s, low 70’s for the week. I can handle it. We did have some pretty good frost a couple of days. Don’t really like what’s coming later on; hopefully not as bad as “they” are predicting.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale. To order call 570-928-1099.
Membership dues for 2017 are now being taken; see Molly Johnson to pay yours or to become a member. Just costs a buck; can’t beat that.
Did you mark your calendar for the dates in November that the New Albany Volunteer Fire Company is presenting their play? If not, you will miss out on a great time. See the ad in last week’s Sully too. Should be fun and it’s a nice fund raiser for the Fire Company.
We visited Bob, Jr. and Tyler McGuire, Hunlock Creek on Saturday. Had a nice time. We then went to Forty Fort to visit Bob’s sister, Lola and Mike Mattie. She puts up an awesome Halloween display every year and this year was better than ever.
Halloween party coming up on the 31st, 6 p.m. at the Pavilion. Refreshments and prizes. If you’d like the “spooks” to stop by your house, please have your porch light on.

HINT: “For chest congestion or a cold, put cider vinegar on a cloth and place the cloth on your chest for two hours.” (Don’t know how many times you have to do this, but with cold season here or coming, give it a try.) Here’s a nice air freshner: Cut an orange in half; remove the pulp and fill the peel with salt. Will provide a pleasant aromatic scent anywhere in your home. (Thanks for the good tips, Carole.)
Guess that’s about it for now. Enjoy your week; it’ll be super. Have news call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
