March 1, 2017
Well, our nice weather lasted until Saturday. We had good temperatures all week in the 60’s. I did some laundry on Thursday and Friday and hung them out on the line and they actually dried really well. The geese have been flying in huge flocks, so hope that’s a good sign. Then, on Saturday we got a heavy rain storm with fog, thunder, lightning and lots of wind. We were very lucky we had no problems, while other places had lots of damage and maybe a tornado touch down. Sunday was very cold and windy, but the week is to warm up again. Strange weather for this time of year. We’ve been seeing twenty plus turkeys making their way through the cemetery. Guess they are braver now that hunting is done.

Keep an eye on the Sully for up-coming events going on in the County. Pretty soon, it will be warmer weather and more things around the area.
HINT: “Coffee is full of nutrients and vitamins that are beneficial to soil. Some people include it in their compost pile. If you want the most out of your coffee, pour the grounds on areas where you want more grass or flowers to grow.”
Happy Birthday to our son, Bob Jr. as he celebrated on the 26. Happy birthday to Keene Vinetelli, March 5th; and Bethany Dendler, 6th. Hope you all have a nice day.
From Mr. Neubauer’s little brown book: February 26, 1978 it was clear, cold, with snow and 14 degrees. I think ours was a little better.
Get well wishes to all of you who are sick with colds and the flu bug. I did hear there is a bad flu going around and keeping kids out of school for days. Hope you all get to feeling better. If the weather wouldn’t flip flop so much, maybe everyone would feel better.
Guess that’s it from this frigid back yard. Enjoy your week; more sunshine and warmth on the way (I hope). Have news call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
