Hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day Holiday. The weather was perfect. The services that took place in the County were very well attended and all those who took part were great. Hope you got to attend one or maybe all of them. We’ve had some pretty hot days now for a while and really do need some rain. Looks like it keeps missing us so far. The ground is very dry and crunchy when you walk in the grass. Some places it’s pretty brown looking. So, would be nice if Mother Nature would give us a little rain to help things along.
Tyler McGuire came down from Liverpool, NY, to spend the Holiday weekend with his Dad, Bob, Jr. and the rest of his family. Nice time while he was here.
Thank you to Jack Caccia for his generous donation to the up-keep of Cold Spring. Much appreciated. He mentioned when he was a youngster, they used the spring quite often as their water supply.
St. Vladimir’s Church now has pierogies for sale the first and third Sunday of the month. To order, call 570-928-8909; 1-732-221-2803; or 1-440-645-9719. They can be picked up at the Church Hall from Noon to 1 p.m.
Happy Birthday wishes to Lydia Stasiak, 5th; Lynn Malkemes, 8th; Matt Dayton, 10th. Hope you all have a good day.
Civic meeting will be on Wednesday, the 21st, 6 p.m. at the Pavilion. Plans for Old Home Day are in the works. Need volunteers. to make it another successful day.
Enjoy your week, whatever your plans may be. I’ve been seeing some beautiful potted flowers and hanging baskets as I’ve been walking around town. Rain would sure help keep them healthy. I see some gardens in the process of being planted and rain would help there too. Have news, give me a call at 570-928-9238; snail mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
I’m Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak
