The weather was all over the place for last week. Monday was a low of 11 degrees, with flurries. Tuesday and 1 degree and Wednesday was a whopping Zero. Thursday, 4 degrees and Friday 18 degrees for a low with a high of 49 degrees. That really was nice. The wind was still present all the time. Saturday we got the pouring rain with a little snow mix and the wind was wicked. Sunday was a better day with some son and felt pretty good. Heard the week is to be pretty good with no rain, snow or sleet. But….Saturday and Sunday may be another weekend with a mix of snow and rain. Hope not, but we have to take what Mother Nature gives us. One lady I talked to during the week said she’s pretty sure we’ll get an early Spring. I said I’d hold her to it. See what happens.
St. Vladimir’s Church has halupki for sale. They are available every second and fourth Sunday of the month, from Noon – 1 p.m. Stop by the Church Hall and get yours before they are gone.
Irene Pequignot, Linden, spent Sunday at her home here. Was a nice day for a ride and Church.
Winterfest is coming up on Saturday, February 15th at Camp Brule. Check out the website sckiwanis.com and see what all will be happening during the day. Of course, there will be the Polar Bear Plunge, along with many other things going on. This is held snow or no snow.
Get well to Mary Lowden who had recent surgery. I hear Ted is taking very good care of her.
Happy Birthday wishes for early February to Kyra Vinetelli and Brian Dendler, 1st; Dee Whatley, 4th; and Helen Amon, 5th. Hope you all have a nice day.
Us, along with Uncle “B” send special birthday greetings to Tyler McGuire as he celebrates on the 2nd. That is Groundhog Day. Do you think Phil will see his shadow and give us six more weeks of winter? We can only hope he does not.
Joe and Diane Fanning, along with Molly, Landenberg, spent a few days at their home on Church Street.
I think that’s he news for this time. Enjoy your week; hope it’s all you want it to be. If the weatherman is right, should be pretty nice.
