Hope you all enjoyed that COLD, BRISK weekend. The sun was out but with the wind, didn’t seem to help much and was brutal both Saturday and Sunday.
Well, I don’t have much to report. I’m tired of putting in Covid every week even though it’s still with us for some time to come.
We have a weather person now in Lopez. Samantha Burke, better known as “Sam” will be taking the weather and sending it to the Sully. I’m sure she’ll do a good job and she has three little helpers (her boys).
Haven’t seen or heard from anyone about any news. Pretty much staying home unless we need to go out.
I can tell you that St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale the first and third Sunday of the month. They can be picked up at the Church Hall from Noon – 1 p.m. Call 570-928-8909 to order. They sure make a good meal or nice addition to your meal.
Happy Birthday wishes to Kyra Vinetelli and Brian Dendler, February 1st; Tyler McGuire, 2nd; Dee Whatley, 4th and Helen Amon, 5th. Have a nice day.
Tyler McGuire has returned to classes at RIT in Rochester, NY. Was nice he was home. Time seems to pass so quickly.
Well, February 2nd is Ground Hog Day. Think Phil will see his shadow and give us six more weeks of winter? Only time will tell.
That’s it. Enjoy your week. Have news, contact me, before 6 p.m., by phone at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.

To the left of the round smoke stack, you can see the Sts. Peter and Paul steeple.
