Well, another week with up and down weather. We had a couple inches of snow; then the temperature went up and melted some; then Saturday evening we had freezing rain which made everything tricky. Then, warm and melting ice, which made it muddy. One day it finally did get up to 43 degrees, which felt like a real heat wave. The wind is the big issue; just doesn’t seem to quit. I’m hoping Mother Nature is going to be good to us and give us Spring very soon. Everyone is so ready for warm and sun and no cold, snow or rain. Hope everyone is feeling well. There is so much stuff going around that seems to hang on. That’s why we need the warm weather. Makes everyone feel so much better.
Happy 85th birthday to Ray Barber, whose birthday was Saturday. His sister, Carole Kilgus, had a little party for him at Pam’s in Dushore. Family and friends gathered to help him celebrate this special day. Many more, Ray.

HINT: “Did you know that vinegar has been around for more than 10,000 years? It has been used as a preservative, a condiment, a beverage, and during World War I to treat wounds. So, use it for many things around the house.” To get a pleasant aroma throughout the house, combine 1 cup of water and 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice — or any combination of spices — in a large microwave bowl and cook on high until it boils. Cook for a minute or two. Combining 6 whole cloves and a half of a lemon in a cup of water will also work. Makes for a spicey smell around the house.
Happy Birthday wishes to Mcguire Martin, March 1st; Keene Vinetelli; 5th; and Bethany Dendler, 6th. Have a nice day.
Guess that’s the news for now. Enjoy your day; you just might need to attach cinder blocks to your shoes so the wind doesn’t carry you away. You can still get out and get some of the invigorating air. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. I’ll be here next time and thanks for reading.
