Hope you all enjoyed the bitter cold, windy weekend. It was brutal for sure. I didn’t go out at all. I admire those who attended the Sleigh Rally in Dushore on Saturday at Noon. I guess it was a pretty good turn-out and the horses and sleighs did quite a good job.
We had some below zero temperatures for a few days, but the wind was what made it all so bad. Sure looking for warmer weather soon. I did hear that Wednesday through Friday will be much better with temperatures in the low 40’s. I’ll take it, if you can believe them. It was a good weekend to do some baking, which I decided to do.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale the first and third Sunday of the month. They can be picked up at the Church Hall from Noon to 1 p.m. Call 570-928-8909 to order.
Joe and Diane Fanning, along with Molly, spent a few days at their home here and pretty much enjoyed the snow, since there was nothing much else to do. Did get some shoveling done and enjoyed shopping while they were here.
Happy Birthday to Dee Whatley, 4th; Helen (Maximiak) Amon, 5th; Alex Aharonian, 11th; and Lisa Kellogg Williams, 13th. Hope you all enjoy your day.
Sure don’t see many people out and about with the weather, unless I see them shoveling or plowing snow. Hope Mother Nature gives us much warmer weather soon so folks will be out much more.
Watch the Sully for up-coming events that you might want to take part in or just enjoy watching.
I guess that’s it. Nothing more to report. Enjoy your week; it’s gonna be cold and then warm. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will put it in for you. Take care; stay warm; stay safe. Still a lot of virus going on. Please call me by 6 p.m. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
