December 22, 2021
As I sit here Saturday morning typing my last news column, it’s a rainy, dreary day. Sure hope we get some nicer weather yet. It’s asking a lot of Mother Nature, but still would be nice. I did hear maybe some snow on Christmas. We did have a few nice days during the week when the temperature hit 60 degrees. Sure felt good and was so nice to put laundry on the line to dry. Smells so much better.
Don’t have a lot of news. I know there will probably be family get togethers over the Holidays, so I should have that to report when the next issue comes out, which will be January 5th.
Just want to wish all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy New Year and hope 2022 is so much better for everyone. It’s been tough for sure. Tale a moment to think of those who can’t be with us this year, rather they have passed on or are in the military and away from home. Think of those who are in nursing homes and can’t have loved ones visit due to the pandemic.
Keep an eye on the Sully for events coming up that you may be interested in. There’s always something going on in Sullivan County for your enjoyment……unless Mother Nature has other ideas.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale the first and third Sunday of the month. Call 570-928-8909 to order. They can be picked up at the Church Hall from Noon to 1 p.m.
Birthday wishes to round out the year include Alyssa Pequignot, 20th; Everlyn Brumwell 21st; Kaeleigh McDonald and Lillie Bahr, 23rd; and Ginny Stavisky, 31st. Have a nice day.
Happy Anniversary to Anthony and Beth Sneidar as they celebrate on the 28th. Have a fantastic day.
Get well wishes to all who aren’t feeling just up to par right now and hope you feel better soon.
Merry Christmas to John and Chris Shoemaker and the Sully staff for allowing me to write my news every week. It’s been fun and look forward to next year.
