Weather is getting a little more wintry, but that’s to be expected.
Sympathy from the community to the family, relatives and many friends of Barbara Andrewlavage who passed away on Tues., the 6th. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday at St. Francis Church, with Rev. Rojas officiating. Burial was in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Lopez.
The Lopez Civic Association held their annual Christmas party at St. Vladimir’s Hall on Saturday. This was done in memory of Barbara Andrewlavage, who had passed away on Tuesday. It was felt that Barbara would want the party to go on. For many year, she chaired this event. Through the Civic Association, she would purchase special gifts for kids in their age category. She also, with her own money, purchased and donated all the crafts the kids enjoyed and the “goodie” bags. Santa stopped by to visit with the kids and hand out the bags. Carols were sung and all enjoyed refreshments. All we can say to Barb is “Merry Christmas and Thank You for your years of dedication to make the kids happy.” Thank you to all that helped.
No Civic meeting in December.
Happy Birthday wishes to Carter Vermiere, 17th; V Rev Mother Christophora and Christian Santarelli, 19th; and Alyssa Pequignot, 20th. Hope you all have a nice day.
HINT: “Clean your counters and table tops with peroxide to kill germs and leave a fresh smell. Simply put a little on your dishrag when you wipe or spray it on the area and wipe. Much better smell than bleach.”
Guess that’s the news for now. Enjoy your week, whatever it is you plan on doing. Heard it’s to be quite cold by the weekend; we’ll take what we get. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa. I’ll get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
