Hope you all had a very nice Easter weekend. Weather wasn’t the greatest, but could have been worse. Early Saturday morning it was only 24 degrees and a good frost, but did warm up. Sunday, early, we had a downpour and then it was cold and windy; warmed up just a little. As I sit here typing on Sunday evening, I’m told we’re getting snow tonight into Monday, with slick road conditions. School delays??? It’s April, no snow, but I guess Mother Nature just has it in for us. Showers and flurries also during the week. Guess it didn’t do any good to talk to her; she just didn’t listen.
Mike, Heather, Kaeleigh ad Kyleigh McDonald had Saturday lunch and Easter egg hunt at the home of Cory McDonald, Dushore. All had a good time and all 150 that were hidden were found.
Looks like the Easter bunny was good to everyone again this year. Went by Dushore Legion on Saturday and there were cars, cars, cars, so I’m sure the Easter egg hunt was successful there.
Bob and I, along with Bob, Jr. and Tyler, Hunlock Creek, enjoyed Easter Sunday with Brian McGuire. Good food, good time playing games, visiting and lots of laughs.
Joe and Diane Fanning, along with Molly, Landenberg, spent a few days over the Easter holiday at their home on Church Street. I imagine they started Spring cleaning. At least they didn’t have to shovel snow.
Next Civic meeting will be on Tuesday, April 17th, 6 p.m. at the Pavilion, weather permitting. Otherwise, at the Township Building.
Happy Birthday wishes to V Rev Andrew Matychak, April 5th; Shawn Pequignot, 6th; and Jaron Williams, 11th. Have a nice day.
Happy Anniversary from B’s gang to Bill and Roda Stasiak, who celebrate on the 6th. Have a fantastic day.
Happy Anniversary also to Julio and Mary (Maximiek) as they celebrate on the 5th. Have a nice day.
HINT: “Here are some uses for WD40: removed road tar and grime from cars; gives floors that “just waxes” sheen without making it slippery; keeps flies off cows; restores and cleans chalkboards; removes lipstick stains; loosens stubborn zippers; untangles jewelry chains; removes stains from stainless steel sinks; removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill; keeps glass shower doors free of water spots; keeps scissors working smoothly; lubricates noisy hinges on vehicles and doors in the home. (Didn’t know all this, but will certainly try a couple of them.)
Now, with the warmer weather on the way (I hope) we’ll see folks out checking out the gardens and flower beds and doing yard work. The robins have finally come back. And, there will be lots of activities around Sullivan County for you to check out.
Guess that’s the news for now. Enjoy your week, rain, snow, nice, whatever; it’s great to be alive. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. Ill be here next time and thanks for reading. Let’s hope no snow in the forecast.
