No news last week. BUMMER!! We had our annual Che-Hanna Gem and Mineral show on the weekend. Got home Sunday evening and guess I had a Senior moment. Forgot all about writing my news.
Weather for the week was up and down again. As I’m typing my news on Sunday Noontime, it is very windy and cold. Had some pretty cold mornings with frost and cold wind. Did have some sunshine and Saturday it got up to 52 degrees. Be time to till the garden, if it’s not frozen, and dig up the flower beds to get ready to plant. We need warm weather to come and stay. Was a long winter. I saw 40 turkeys in the field across the street. That’s the most I’ve ever seen. The robins are around and “Chippy” is back. The regular birds are enjoying the bird seed and the suet, when the red squirrel doesn’t beat them to it. Another month and the hummingbirds will be back.
TJ, Alison, Jase and their four-footed friend, Wesson, Marlton, NJ, spent a few days last week at their home here.

HINT: “Mix 6 oz. of vinegar, 2 TBSP sugar and 1 tsp. of salt. Fill a dish and place around the yard to trap wasps” (Mixture can be made bigger.)
Guess that’s the news from this chilly back yard. Enjoy your week. Last I saw on TV, it’s to be quite warm all week long with no storms in sight. Let’s see how right that report is. I sure hope so. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
