Hope you all had a Happy Easter, despite the conditions we are under right now. Just made the best of what we do have to be thankful for. The weather was not the best for the week. We had pouring rain during the day on Thursday that changed to snow in the evening. Had snow again on Friday. The wind was wicked all week. Saturday and Sunday were nicer, but the wind was still pretty evil. There was a frost early morning almost every day, but didn’t stay around long.
The bear is back. Visited Roseanne Lukachik on Monday evening and got her feeders. Also stopped by Ted and Mary Lowden’s and got their suet feeder. We didn’t have the bear, but have a pesky squirrel that got into our bird feeder, right between the wires.
Since I haven’t been out, haven’t seen too much news to report. I watch the birds and turkeys in the field and see the neighbor girls walk the dog often. I do take walks. It’s nice to be outside to get the sun and fresh air.
Don’t know how long before folks can start their gardens and flower beds if they can’t get to places to purchase them.
Remember, NO Civic meeting on the 21st. Hopefully for May.
Happy Birthday wishes to send to Roseanne Lukachik and Tom Beck, 18th; Holly Ann Sperry, 20th; Jon-Paul Matychak, 23rd. Have a nice day.
Hope everyone is well and not bothered with the flu or the virus. Hopefully it will be out of here soon and things will get back to normal.
Guess that’s about it. Enjoy your week. After Wednesday, it’ll get nicer. Have news call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. Have a good week and I’ll be here next time.
This photo was taken way back when (late 40’s early 50’s) in front of Mrs. Peworchik’s house and she is on the left. Anyone recognize the other two gals.
