I’m Mark Regulski, and my grandmother (Olga Shymansky Cannon) was born in Lopez 19 August 1908. She was the youngest child of Theodore Shymansky. I know that you’ve met two of my mother’s cousins (Bob Logan and Jim Shymansky). I’ve been working with Bob on the family history by providing much of the research. I’m sending you a copy of an audio recording of my grandmother that I did 30 August 1994. She was 86 at the time. She shares some of her childhood memories of Lopez.  The family moved from Lopez to Plymouth when she was about 7 years old. My apologies that the recording isn’t of the best quality (it was done on an audio cassette tape). My grandmother lived to be 100, having passed away 22 February 2009. Oddly, her father died on 22 January 1909! My grandmother’s sister (Anna) was Bob Logan’s mother. She also lived to be 100! Here is her story.
