Had some pretty nice weather the last week.  Was a great weekend.  We did get a thunder storm late Sunday evening, but I guess the rain was much needed for the gardens and flowers.  Looks like they are coming along pretty well.  Weather for the week isn’t to be too bad, with some pretty good temperatures.  Maybe some much needed rain mixed in.

Congratulations to Less Isett for receiving a Quilt of Valor at the Bradford/Sullivan Counties Veterans appreciation picnic.  He is a member of Mildred Legion Post #452.  We thank you for your service.

Also receiving a Quilt of Valor at the same time was County Commissioner Darlene Fenton.  Congratulations to her and thank you for your service.

Bob and I attended our Che-Hanna mineral club picnic on Sunday at Riverfront Park in Towanda.  Was a perfect day.  No wind, not much sun, no humidity and especially no bugs.  As we were leaving around 3:15, there were a few sprinkles.  Was a nice day to be out with friends who were able to come.

Better weather seems to be finally with us.  Keep an eye on the Sully for those events coming up that you may be interested in.  I’m sure there will be something.

If you’d like to keep your throw rugs flat, lay the small rugs on the table that has been covered with paper.  Paint them with two coats of shellac, letting one coat dry before applying the other.  This stiffens the fabric on the back of the rugs and allows them to lie straight.  Be sure they are dry before placing them back on the floor.
