Rain and more rain.  Weekend wasn’t the best; it was windy and rainy.  Guess Mother Nature thought we needed more rain.

Hopefully we will have some nicer weather during the week.  At least that’s what my weather report says.  But, you can’t always depend on that.  It can change from day to day and we have to take what we get, like it or not.   October will be here soon.  Where did September go?   I hope you were able to get a lot of produce from your gardens.  They are “toast” now.   Will be great to have on hand for the winter.

Bob heard some geese last Monday evening, the 21st going South.  Was hoping they’d stay longer.  On Wednesday, the 23rd, there was a humming bird at our feeder.  Surprised us, but must have been one of the “stragglers” stopping by on its way South too.

Several layers of newspapers placed on each shelf when defrosting your refrigerator will help soak up the water and eliminate a lot of sponging.  To prevent mildew on refrigerator gaskets and inside, wipe with pure vinegar.  The acid kills the mildew fungus.   A little vanilla poured on a cotton ball and placed in the refrigerator will eliminate odors.  (A box of baking soda will do that, too.)  If you have a favorite hint, no matter what it is, please let me know and we will share it.

Guess that’s my news for now.  Enjoy your week, even if you have to wear your rain boots.   At least we aren’t flooded like so many who had that terrible storm go through and folks lost their homes and everything they owned.   Pray for them and hope things do get better.
