As I’m typing Sunday evening, I see it is raining outside. We did have some pretty cool low 40 temperature during the week. Had heavy rain, thunder and lightning on Thursday. We didn’t get hit as bad as South of us. They had terrible rain, flooding and roads closed. Was a pretty good storm. In looking at the forecast for the week, it looks like rain and more rain. But, that can change in “the blink of an eye”.
Sullivan County Fair is on the horizon. So much to see and do while you are there. I hope you take the time to attend one, two, or all of the days the fair is open. You won’t be disappointed.
Birthdays up-coming: Kristin (McDonald) Mensch – 5th; Emelia Williams, 6th; Miles Baton, 8th; and Emerson Brumwell, 10th. Have a great day.
Happy Anniversary to Chase and Jodi Brumwell as they celebrate on the 2nd; and Les and Kathy Isett celebrate on the 10th. Have a good day.
Here’s something I didn’t know and will share. To get the last of the shortening out of the container, fill it with boiling water; let it stand for a while, then let it cool. The shortening will rise to the top and harden for easy removal. (Gotta try that.)
Keep and eye on the Sully for things coming up that may be of interest to you. Some good times still to be had and even when the cold weather hits, more good times.
If you’d like something in my news, give me a call at 570-928-9238; see me; “snail” mail me; or e-mail me at news@lopez.pa.com. I will do my best to include it for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
