Warmer temperatures are with us, off and on. The weekend turned out really well for the events and activities that were going on. Hope you got to see some of those things and participate. The weather sure did cooperate this time. Rain is on the horizon for the coming week, but we do need it. Not the heavy down pours. Just a nice, steady rain for the gardens, flowers. They seem to be doing pretty good right now.
Congratulations to the following for making Distinguished Honors for the last marking period: Reese Baton, Miles Baton, Kyleigh McDonald, Izabella Capriotti, and Ruby Malkemes. Good job to all of you.
PEOPLE: School is out for the summer. Please be alert for kids out and about. Please slow down when going through Lopez. There is no reason to go that fast and maybe cause an accident. Leave a little earlier to get where you need to go.
Happy Belated Birthday to Cindy (Stavisky) Nelson on the 23rd. Happy Birthday to Ethan Leo Stavisky on the 28th.
Can you believe that the month of June is almost over? Where has the time gone.
If two drinking glasses are stuck together, one inside the other, fill the inner glass with cold water and set the other glass in hot water and they will come apart easily. The cold water causes the inner glass to shrink slightly and the hot water will expand the other glass just enough so that they will come apart with no breakage.
Guess that’s about it. Looks like a rainy day, but enjoy whatever you plan to do. Keep an eye on the Sully for up-coming events that will be taking place. Something may “spark your interest” for you to enjoy. Have news, give me a call at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. According to the calendar, June 21st was the first day of summer. Let’s hope that’s true and we get some nice, warm, sunny weather. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
