Getting some nicer weather. Did have some rain on Saturday, but that helped with the gardens that were just planted. It had been quite dry, so the rain was nice. Didn’t last long at all. Maybe more rain on the horizon but did see warm weather too. Maybe kids can get in some swimming time at the pools or in the creek.

Sympathy from the community to the family, relatives and many friends of Diane Fitzgerald who passed away on the 29th of May. She will surely be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know her. Her funeral was held on Friday, June 12th, from McCarty/Thomas Funeral Home, Dushore, with burial in St. Basil’s Cemetery.
Sympathy from the community also to the family and relatives of Marian (Delovich) Hubiak who passed away on June 2nd. There will be no viewing or funeral, as per her request.
Joe and Diane Fanning, along with Molly, Landenberg, spent some time at their home here. Weather sure was nice and they got a lot of yard work done and even some inside work done.
Happy Birthday to Nina Weslowski and to Sandy Kriel who both celebrate on the 14th. Have a nice day.
June 14th is Flag Day so I hope you fly your flag proudly on that day, along with every day of the year.
4-H Model Rocketry club will be starting on Monday, June 15th, 6 p.m. at the Extension Office in Dushore. If interested, call Bob McGuire at the number below or go to the website.
Did you know baking soda or corn meal will remove grease spots from carpeting? Simply pour a generous amount over the spots and brush lightly through the pile of the rug. Leave it overnight and vacuum the next day.
With the nicer weather, I hope everyone is out and enjoying and not bothered with all the viruses that have been going around. I was one of the unlucky ones and got hit with a “bug” for about a week. Pretty much all good now, but does take a lot out of a person.
Enjoy your week. Keep an eye on the Sully for events that will be going on now that better weather is upon us. There may be something for you to take part in or just enjoy. Eloise keeps the Joke of the Week coming and you never know what kind of “critters” Connie will see next. If you’d like anything put in my news, please let me know by 6 p.m. on Sunday evening by calling 570-928-9238; mail me (USPS); see me; or email at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
