What a great week!! It’s been sunny; it’s been warm; it’s been hot; it’s been humid and I’ll take it all. Can’t beat this and the week is to be the same. I do feel for those with allergies as this weather isn’t the best for them.
St. Vladimir’s Church has pierogies for sale. To order, call 570-928-1099.
Another Saturday coming up and it will be soup-er Saturday at Hails Family Farm, here in Lopez. This will go on for the last Saturday of September and the four Saturdays of October.
Halloween coming up soon. Get your costumes ready. The Civic Association Halloween party will be held at the Pavilion on Halloween night, 6 p.m. Refreshments and prizes, so come on out for a good time.
Joe and Diane Fanning, along with Molly, Landenberg, are spending the week at their home on Church Street and enjoying this great weather.

HINT: “Hair spray protects artwork. When your mini Picasso brings home a masterpiece from school, or just does one at home, preserve it with a few spritzes of hair spray. This is especially handy for chalk and other materials that smudge easily.”
Happy Birthday wishes to Elizabeth Kapler, October 1st; Joe Fanning and Kyleigh McDonald, 2nd; Gwen (Burke) Hontz and Dylon Pequignot, 7th; and Irene Huray and Ryan Weisbrod, 8th. Have a good day.
Happy Anniversary to Tony and Donna Cikovic as they celebrate on the 2nd. Have a nice day.
Bob McGuire, Jr. and Tyler, Hunlock Creek, enjoyed the day Saturday visiting with us, Brian and Nina Weslowski.
I’m seeing a lot of Fall decorating being done, especially Halloween things being put out in the yards, on the fence posts, and on the porches. Makes it look pretty nice around town.
Still things taking place in Sullivan County. Keep an eye on the Sully for those things you might be interested in.
Guess that’s the news for now and I can’t say “from the Ice Box of PA” just yet. Enjoy your week; it’s to be really great, I’m sure. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
