As I sit here and type my news very early Monday morning, it’s raining pretty good. No thunder and not much wind so far; nothing like what was predicted for Sunday night that we didn’t get. We did have rain on Thursday and again a good storm on Saturday with lots of thunder. We didn’t lose power so far, which is good. Rain predicted for a few days during the week again. Supposed to be cooler temperatures also. We will make the best of whatever we get. The gardens are doing quite well and I think the zucchini did the best of anything. Flowers are still looking so pretty. Hopefully no frost for a while yet. I’m just not ready for the cold weather to settle in. The leaves are changing color already and Fall is in the air. There are places where the leaves have already fallen. The grass has been growing steadily and will be time to mow again soon.
Thank you to Les Isett, Alex Stavisky and Bob McGuire for placing the plaque at Cold Spring. Good job and looks really nice.
Joe and Diane Fanning, along with Molly, Landenberg, spent a few days at their home here.

Happy Birthday, Justin Swens, on Saturday. I know he had a great weekend with family and friends at his home here on Main Street.
Happy Birthday to JoAnn McDonald, 19th; Mya Evans, 20th; Roland Dayton, 21st; and Bob Day, 23rd. Hope you all have a nice day.
I know there are more things coming up for the next couple of months. Keep an eye on the Sully and Face Book to see if there is something of interest for you. Don’t forget to support the local businesses.
I guess that’s it for now. Enjoy your week, even if you have to wear your boots and carry an umbrella. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
