Wasn’t a bad weekend, so hope you all enjoyed it. I could take a few more weeks of this. I’m so not ready for the cold weather that will be here before long. Seems like the gardens are still doing pretty good with plenty of veggies to be picked and canned or frozen. Will come in handy during the winter season.
Well, kids are back in school; don’t know if they really like the idea yet, but they will do fine, I’m sure.
Got the following e-mail to share: On Thursday evening, Joe and Diane (Charnik) Fanning, along with Molly, Landenberg, and granddaughter, Haley Latch, St. Georges, DE, arrived at their home on Church Street for a week’s vacation. On Thursday evening they were joined by Haley’s mother, Toni Latch, and friend, Angelo Gattinella. On Friday, Joe, Haley, Toni and Angelo went on a five mile bike ride and had an enjoyable time. Saturday, Toni, Haley and Angelo went to Ricketts Glen and took the three mile waterfall hike and saw approximately 10-12 waterfalls. They really enjoyed the beautiful falls; it was followed up by renting kayaks and touring the lake. Said they can’t wait until next year to do some more. Toni and Angelo went home Sunday morning while the rest of the family stayed for the week. Went to the movies on Monday and saw “Pete’s Dragon”; said it was an excellent film for everyone to see. The weather was beautiful and all had a great time here. Angelo even got to see his first bear while he was here.

By the time you get your Sully, the Sullivan County Fair will be in full swing. So, take a ride on down to the Forksville Fair Grounds and see what’s going on. Something for everyone and fun for all.

HINT: “Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower?? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror; it will eliminate fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.”
Hope you all have a safe, happy Labor Day holiday. guess that’s the last real summer vacation time. There will still be Fall activities going on in the County, so keep a check on the Sully to see where and when.
Guess that’s it for now. Enjoy your week; I did hear there may be a few showers, but it will be warm. Have news call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I’ll get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
I am still looking for a photo of the Lopez Honor Roll that doesn’t have flowers, wreaths or people in front of it. I would like to be able to read all of the names that were on it.
