Had some rainy days during the week.  Needed it badly.  Hope it helped with the water table.  Saturday was a perfect day, no rain, for Lopez Old Home Day.  Lots to see and do.  New things were available this year, along with the hay ride being back.  Awesome fireworks at dark to close out the day.  Hope you all had an enjoyable day.  There were also other activities going on that you may have enjoyed too.

Quite a rain storm and wind on Sunday.  Did lots of damage with trees and wires down and places flooded.  It finally quit over night.  Last I saw, it’s to be rainy the whole week.  But, as you know, that can change daily.

Finally saw FOUR turkeys in the cemetery the other day, after not seeing any for a while.  No deer yet.  Bunnies and birds are all over.

Happy Birthday to Kathy Lebo, 9th, Randy Lebo, 10th, Erica Kapler and Kari Spinosa, 11th, and Al Kapler and Chase Brumwell, 12th.  Hope you all have a nice day.

Dee and Phil Sapienza, Wilmington, NC, and Eagles Mere, joined Bernadette and Ted Lowden for dinner at Ted’s home on Monday night, July 20th.  Dee is the sister of Bernadette Andrews and she and her husband come “home” for a month long visit every year.

Irene (Huray) Pequignot, Linden, spent the weekend at her home here.  She attended the Homza family reunion on Saturday.  She also enjoyed Bingo at Old Home Day.  Paul and Marge Bednar visited on Saturday, as well as Jennifer and Justin Cowles and Alek Laird.  On Sunday she visited Mickey Bednar.    Nice time for all.

Did you know for bruise recovery, you can apply a small dab of Vicks VapoRub on the bruise a few times daily.  You can also rub Vicks on your cracked heels and cover with socks at bed time.  (Not just for colds and stuffy noses. And, it smells good too.)
