Hope you all had a good weekend. Weather is getting warmer day by day. The wind is the problem. It just doesn’t quit and sometimes is pretty sharp. Don’t worry, good days are coming. I did hear chance of rain right up until Friday. Guess we have to put up with what Mother Nature deals to us. It could be a lot worse and we can be thankful no hurricanes or tornadoes coming our way.
Next Civic meeting, Wednesday, 15 April, 6 p.m. at the Township Building.
Here’s a good hint for all, even kids: Substitute carrots, fruits, raisins, and vegetables instead of cookies, chips and soda, for your snack.
Another is to add a stalk of celery when cooking broccoli, cabbage or sauerkraut……it helps eliminate strong odors. (And, they can get pretty smelly.)
Team Dad was in from Allentown to spend the weekend with Nina Weslowski and Brian McGuire. Nice weather and good work day. Team Mom was in Boston with her family.
I’ve seen bluebirds about checking the bird houses. Someone says that’s the male coming to look things over and will go get the female and come back soon. We have lots of rabbits running around and even a little ground hog. Nicer weather is bring out all who have been hibernating over the winter.
Happy Birthday to Pat Burd and Carole Underwood, both on the 17th; and Holly Sperry, 20th. Have a fantastic day.
Enjoy your week, whatever you may plan to do. Might need the umbrella when out and about. You know, they say April showers bring May flowers. Hope this is so and that we don’t get frost to kill everything before they fully bloom.
Have news, give me a call at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com., by 6 p.m. on Sunday evening. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
