Brrrrr!! It’s cold, but someone said it is winter. We had some frigid temperatures, along with snow, some sun, and the ever present wind. We also had some below zero temperatures a couple of days during the week. It’s only 11 degrees at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday as I’m typing my news. Winter here?? Ya got that right!!
Thanks, Connie for the ice cream recipes. Will put them in my folder and give them a try. Ice cream is good in any kind of weather, right??
Happy belated birthday to Eloise Caseman on the 15th. Hope it was grand. I do enjoy her weekly joke.
Did you know to keep lettuce fresh for a long time, wrap it in a damp cloth and put it in a plastic bag in the fridge. (I tried doing it with the aluminum foil. Just did not work for me.)
Happy birthday to V Rev Mother Christophora -19th; Christian Santarelli, 19th; Alyssa Pequignot, 20th; and Everlyn Brumwell, 21st. Have a great day.
Hope the boys and girls are being good. Santa is checking his list. He even called me to get my opinion. I told him they are all doing well. Won’t be long, he’ll be on his way.
Brian McGuire and Nina Weslowski spent an enjoyable weekend in A-Town with her parents, Jerry and Paula Weslowski.
Bob and I participated in Wreaths Across America, hosted by Mildred American Legion 452, on Saturday. Thanks to them for all they did to make this event happen. Even though the weather was windy and cold, it was an honor to do this for those veterans who sacrificed their lives to keep our country free. Thanks also to Clair Johnson for placing the wreaths at Ellis Cemetery.
Think I’ll go have a cup of hot chocolate and warm up. Enjoy your week. I hear there is to be a warm up. Lol. Have news, give me a call at 570-928-9238; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. Will do my best to put it in. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
