Don’t forget…..turn your clocks AHEAD on Saturday evening or Sunday morning. It’s that time again.
Had quite a bit of warm up on Friday and Saturday when the temperature hit 45 and 54 degrees. Thawed a lot and melted a lot of snow. Lots of mud. Sunday was another story. Was very cold, little bit of sun and very windy. Didn’t make it past 23 degrees all day. Let’s hope the week brings us some nicer weather with no storms on the horizon. Keep thinking SPRING. It will be here one day soon. (I hope.)
Congratulations to the students for 2nd period honor roll. Distinguished Honors include Reese Baton, Grayson Schiele, Miles Baton, Kyleigh McDonald, Izabella Capriotti, Ruby Malkemes, and Kaeleigh McDonald. Honor Roll included Xander Kapler. Keep up the good work!

The 56th annual Che-Hanna Gem and Mineral Show will be coming up on the 28th and 29th of March. This is held at the Wysox Fire Hall. Educational displays, cabochon making, cutting a geode, mine mine for the kids. Dealers with all kinds of minerals, gems and fossils. Some new items this year. Food will be sold on the premises. Mark your calendar now. Saturday form 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hope to see you there.
Did you know the big plastic jars are excellent to keep lettuce in, if you punch a few holes in the bottom. They fit a head of lettuce and with the few holes punched, any excess moisture will leak out and prevent that “goop” forming. (I’m sure you know what the “goop” is.) The plastic container is sanitary, you can cut it to the size you want and it will keep your lettuce from bruising while cooling in your fridge. (I’ll have to try that as everything else I tried just doesn’t work.)
Keep an eye on the Sully for any up-coming events that may be taking place. You may be interested in something you see.
I guess that’s it for now. If you have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will put it in. If you have a hint, tip, favorite recipe you’d like to share. Let me know. I can put it in and let others know too.
Enjoy your week. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
