I guess everyone survived the WINDY, COLD weather during the last week. We had temperatures in the single digits. Saturday and Sunday did turn out nice with temperatures in the 40’s, sunshine and not much wind. I hear the up-coming week will be a lot better with 40 degree temperatures and maybe some rain. Hopefully no big storms on the horizon. Better weather is coming. We have to be patient and just wait for it.
Happy Birthday to Khloie Bahr. 19th; Clair Johnson II, 20th; Armond Spinosa, 22nd; Jacob Williams, 23rd; and Bob McGuire, Jr., 26th. Have a nice day.
I guess it was a good weekend for the Eagles Mere Toboggan slide with many going and enjoying the ride, even though there was a longer wait time. Dushore was very busy on Saturday with the Chocolate and Wine Walk for all to enjoy. The Endless Mountains Sleigh rally was finally held on Sunday. There will probably be pictures of these events in the up-coming Sully. Good time for all.
There are going to be posters placed in different businesses, etc. announcing the 56th annual Che-Hanna Rock and Mineral show. Will give all the details of this event, held the 28th and 29th of March. Check it out and come see what the show is all about. Lots of educational displays, lots to do and purchase. Hope to see you there at the Wysox Volunteer Fire Hall. Fun for kids as well as adults.
Here’s a cutie: Keep a white sock in your bathroom and put all small pieces of soap into it. Tie a knot at the open end of the sock and use this at bath time for kiddies. Very handy, and they love it—–something different. (Don’t know if soap is even used any more. There is all that body wash stuff and gels, but if you use soap, give this a try.)
I think it’s about time for bed on this Sunday evening. Enjoy your week, whatever your plans are. Keep an eye on the Sully for more events that will be coming up. You may find something you’d really be interested in doing. Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will do my best to add it to my column. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
