As I sit here typing my news on Sunday afternoon, we have been getting a major snow storm all morning and still coming down.  Don’t know total inches yet, but it is pretty deep.  I’d say at least 10 inches so far and the temperature is a whopping 7 degrees.    Lots of cancellations for Monday and maybe even Tuesday.  The drivers with their plows  are doing their best to keep the snow off the roadways.   Hopefully, it will be over with soon and they can get their job done.  I would imagine there are the skiers, snowmobilers, etc. who love this kind of weather.

I did hear it is to be frigid and snowy during the week.  Can’t wait for better weather.  One piece of good news is that the Eagles Mere toboggan slide is getting ready to be opened soon.  That is good for them.  Hopefully, they have a great turn out again this year.

Happy birthday wishes to Jennifer Pequignot Cowles, 28th; Jason Burke, 30th and Hunter Lewis, 31st to round out January.

A couple birthdays in February include Tyler McGuire, 2nd; and Dee Whatley, 4th.  Happy Birthday to all.

Do you realize it’s almost time for Phil, on February 2nd, to give his prediction for another 6 weeks of winter……or not.  At this point, I think it’ll be more winter.  We can only hope.

Keep an eye on the Sully for up-coming events that you may be interested in.  There’s still time to enjoy the winter weather here in Sullivan County.

Here’s a cute idea.  Kids would probably like these:  Take a carton of canned biscuits and cut them in fourths with a pair of scissors.  Drop the little pieces in hot fat to which cinnamon has been added and fry.  Drain on a paper towel.  Top with sugar.  Quick and easy for breakfast.  (I think I would even like them.)
