Rain, snow, wind, frost, sun. You name it. We’ve had it. I think we need to send Mother Nature some news about giving us some nicer weather already. On a good note, we did see a couple of “hummers”, so that was nice. Haven’t seen many deer or turkeys, but do have rabbits, a pesky grey squirrel and a “woody” we’ve been watching. Sunny and frosty as I’m typing my news early Monday morning. It will warm up, I know.
Bob and I attended the MSNEPA mineral show on Sunday, held at St. Oblates in Pittston. Good show, very well attended with lots of rocks, minerals and fossils. They had “dino land” where the kids got to learn about dinosaurs and get to color and have fun, while parents shopped. Met some friends we haven’t seen for quite some time. Weather was a little windy, but sunny. We also stopped in Forty Fort to visit his sister, Lola and Mike Mattie. Was a nice day out.
Happy Birthday wishes to Ted Lowden and William Kapler, 7th; Diane Fanning, 9th; Elizabeth Spinosa 10th; Xander Kapler, 12th; and Kessler Gilbert, 12th. Hope you all have a glorious day.
Keep and eye on the Sully for events that will be coming up in the County. You may find something of interest for you to attend. Hopefully with the nicer weather, more will be able to get out and about.
Don’t forget, Mother’s Day is Sunday, the 10th. Happy Mother’s Day to all and have an enjoyable day, whatever you may do.
I think that’s it for now. Enjoy your day and hope for some warm, sunshiny days. We are due.
If you have news you’d like in my column, call me at 570-928-9238, mail me, see me, or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. Will do my best to get it in for you. I should get it by 6 p.m. Sunday evening to make sure it gets in. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
