Hope you all had a “spooky” and fun Halloween. There was frost every day during the week, but did warm up. Was nice Saturday for the trick or treaters. I saw the pictures of the traditional smashing of the pumpkins at the red light in Dushore. Sure were a lot of them. Some one said it was cleaned up and taken for food for the animals. Supposed to get some nice weather yet for a few days.
Mr. Walter (Ferdie) Marek will turn 101 years young on November 12th. Let’s make him feel good with a card shower. Send your card to Mr. Walter Marek, Room 107A in care of long term care, VA Medical Center, 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711. I’m sure he’ll be surprised and appreciate every card he gets.
Happy Birthday to Tim Bullis, 5th; Teri Bullis, 7th; Grayson Burke, 8th; Elianna Rose Mare Kapler, 11th.
Special birthday wishes to Brian McGuire who also celebrates on the 11th. Have a good day to you all.
Here’s a good idea: If your fridge is short of space for those small and numerous left overs, place a layer of left overs in the bottom of a container, cover with foil and repeat the process until all of the left overs are “stacked” in one container. Take out what you need when you want it. (Good idea.)

Did you know the ruffed grouse is the PA state bird? I did not. We watched two ruffed grouse in our yard during the week, just prancing around having a good time. They were here for some time, then just up and left.
Keep an eye on the Sully. I’m sure there will be more exciting things coming up and some may be of interest to you.
Have news, give me a call at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at webmaster@lopezpa.com. I will get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
