What roller coaster weather we’ve been having. That North wind just wants to keep blowing and making it so windy and cold. And, never know what Mother Nature will give us from day to day. We had some really nice weather again during the week. Was so nice to be outside in the sun and warmth. Then, Friday evening it started to spit down some crunchy snow/ice. Made travel very difficult. It did warm up Saturday during the day and melted most of it. Sunday turned out much better, but still that wind. I did see a robin one day during the week. Really surprised me. Thought it was too early, but it definitely was a robin. Bob heard some geese, but I haven’t so far or seen any. Maybe soon. Weather for the week, from what I heard and saw is still to be windy and maybe rain/snow flurries.
Civic Association meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 18th, 6 p.m. at the Township Building.
Happy Birthday to Aaron Kinsey, 21st; Heather McDonald and Trevor Kinsey, both on the 30th. Hope you all have a nice day.
The Che-Hanna Rock and Mineral Show is coming up soon. Article in last week’s paper. It’s a great show and hope to see you there. Weather should be perfect by that time.
Hopefully summer weather and picnics will be coming. Here’s something that I thought was a good idea. When packing paper plates for a picnic, put a sheet of wax paper between each plate. Serve the meal right on the wax paper; lift it off afterwards……and you have a clean plate for dessert. (Especially nice for those who take regular plates. Won’t have to worry about washing it at that time. Easy clean up.)
As always, keep an eye on the Sully for events coming up. Something may catch your eye that you’d be interested in. We may be a small County, but there is always something going on. People from away that do come are amazed at what is offered and come back often.
Guess that’s it. Enjoy your week. May have to hold on to your hat at some point.
Have news, give me a call at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will do my best to get it in for you.
Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time, if I don’t get blown away in the mean time. We are so lucky. Some folks don’t even have a roof over their head from the storms that have passed through their area. Please pray for our service men and women who are putting their lives on the line keeping our Country safe. Pray for those families who have lost loved ones that they can make it through such a difficult time. Thank you.
