Well, we had some good frost and temperatures in the teens on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday was rain all day, some heavy at times. Didn’t warm up too much during the day and the wind was wicked most of the time. Halloween was chilly and windy, but the kids still enjoyed the party at the Pavilion and going trick or treating around town. Hope everyone had a safe and good time. I see we may get some warm weather again for the week and I’ll take that for sure. These old bones are not ready for cold and white stuff.
Did you remember to turn your clocks back? And, lose an hour of sleep. Gotta get used to it, until it’s time to turn them again. Sure is dark early evening, but nice and bright in the morning. Don’t know which I like best.
Everyone who attended “B”‘s Halloween costume party on the 25th had a really good time. Lots of good food; lots of different costumes; lots of laughs and lots of fun. Looking forward to next year.
Did you know you can use Vicks VapoRub to remove sticky sticker residue. Apply a small amount to the sticker. Wait a few minutes. The oil breaks down the adhesive. Remove and should not be sticky any more.
Thanks, Connie, for that “tid-bit” of Lopez information in your column last week.
“Aunt Barb” wishes to apologize to the Halloweeners on the flat bed trailer and the three trucks waiting behind in line because she ran out of candy. She felt so bad. Said it was the most kids she’s had since living in Lopez. Next year she said she’ll be “better prepared”.
Happy Birthday to Tim Bullis, 5th; Teri Bullis, 7th; Grayson Burke, 8th; and Brian McGuire, 11th. Hope you all have a fabulous day. Enjoy.
Keep an eye on the Sully as I’m sure there will still be things going on around the County that may interest you.
I guess that’s it for now. Enjoy your week. Nice or not, it’s just great to be alive! Have news, call me at 570-928-9238; mail me; see me; or e-mail me at news@lopezpa.com. I will do my best to get it in for you. Thanks for reading and I’ll be here next time.
