HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!!   Hope the 2025 year will be a good one for everybody.

We ended the year with some really cold weather; some snow; and the wind.  As I type my news this Sunday morning, it is sunny and 18 degrees, but still windy.  No snow so far, which is good, I guess.   Seems like the week is going to be pretty good too, with little or no snow.  That can change in an instant, so just have to watch out the window and see what we see.

FLASH:  St. Vladimir’s Church has SOLD OUT on pierogies.  They hope to be back in production in the Spring, if all goes well.  I will keep you informed as soon as I know when that will take place.

We had a nice visit from Bill and Linda Pfieffer, Hughesville, when they came to wish us a Happy New Year.  Lots of catching up to do and was a fun time.  She brought her really good homemade fudge, cheese and beef stick; and she went home with a loaf of homemade chocolate zucchini bread. 

Happy Birthday wishes to start off the New Year are sent to Jeannie Kapler and Alex Stavisky, 4th; Matt Weisbrod, 6th; Linda Santarelli, 7th; John McDonald, Jr., 9th.  Have had/have a nice day.

B’s gang wishes Tyler Higley a great day as he celebrates his birthday on the 13th. 

Happy Anniversary to Ted and Linda Beaver as they celebrate on the 12th.  Have a fantastic day.

Did you know that if you add one teaspoon of water when frying ground beef, it helps pull the grease away from the meat while cooking.

Brian McGuire and Nina Weslowski spent the New Year’s weekend with her family in Boston.  They helped her Nan celebrate her 102nd birthday on New Year’s Eve.   God Bless her.  Many more, Nan.
