I REMEMBER by Angie Smith
My name is Angela (Zosh) Smith, everyone who knows me just calls me Ang or Angie. I have many fond memories of Lopez. When I was first born, my parents lived there with my brother and sister, I’m not sure of the name of the street but I remember everyone saying it was a dead end street but we did move. My grandmother ( Susan Homza Zosh) lived there until her death in the early 80’s. We went to visit every week, I loved the summers there, going to my grandmother’s, having a lot of my cousins around.. We would go to the Lopez Creek to swim and just have fun and I loved going to Old Homes Day. I remember one year I helped my aunt ( Isabelle Halliday) sell soda there. Even after my grandmother’s passing, we would go out every year for our family reunion. I still get to the reunion when I can and when I do, I usually take a little trip to Lopez.
